Summer Shakespeare presents A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream, <\/em>directed by Shane Bosher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love turns the world upside down. Clothes and social skins are shed, nice people turn nasty and imaginations run riot.
Expect ferociously beautiful poetry, robust physicality, anarchic invention and a donkey, as Shakespeare\u2019s oh-so-magical play is brought to life this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year we bring Summer Shakespeare indoors to The Basement Theatre, Te Whaea.
Bring your playful selves, and be prepared for a theatre experience like no other. No picnics this year, but we have our very own Mocktail Bar!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shane Bosher- Director
Shane has been a director, actor, dramaturg and producer for the last twenty years. Following training at Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School, he has worked for most of New Zealand\u2019s major theatre companies including Auckland Theatre Company, Downstage, Court Theatre, NZ Actors Company and Circa Theatre. He was Artistic Director of Silo Theatre from 2001-14. He now works between New Zealand and Australia, recently directing the NZ premiere of\u00a0Homos, or Everyone in America, Delicious Oblivion\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Cock\u00a0<\/em>at Circa Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
