Fiona was first involved in Summer Shakespeare in the 2009 production of Henry V and has been a Trustee since 2012.
Fiona is a graduate of Victoria University’s Theatre Programme and also studied Theatre at Freie Universitaet Berlin. She co-founded experimental performance company Binge Culture and as a performer, director, performance maker, and producer, she has toured with the company throughout New Zealand and to Sydney, Melbourne, Edinburgh, and New York. Fiona has undertaken various creative, tutoring, administrative, and production roles for Shakespeare performance and education with Summer Shakespeare, The Bacchanals, VUW Theatre Programme, and Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand (SGCNZ). She performed at London’s Globe Theatre as part of SGCNZ’s Young Shakespeare Company.
While continuing to be involved with theatre, Fiona now spends most of her time working in the NGO sector as Chief Executive Officer of RespectEd Aotearoa and Board Member of TOAH-NNEST.
